REGULAR EVENTS

ACE OF ACES is an individual low gross/low net game.  First & second low gross and first & second low net scorers in each flight qualify in six bi-monthly rounds for the final tournament which is held in the last month of season play.  Chits are paid to players in the qualifying rounds.  For the final tournament, qualified players are assigned to flights using handicap indexes which are current as of the date of play.  First place winners in each flight in the final competition are awarded double chits.  Ties are broken in the qualifying rounds as well as the final tournament using the Standing Rule.

The MAGNOLIA CUP, played every other month, uses a point system like the FedEx Cup.  Players earn points on their gross scores.  Each player has a point quota based on her handicap subtracted from 36, with a 4 point minimum quota required.  If you make your quota, your extra points (plus points) count, and are tracked.  Flights are set at the beginning of the season and don’t change.  Points and rankings are posted on the website.  Chits are awarded in each flight at the end of season for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place (or 4th place to keep a ¼ payout) per flight.  Ties are broken using the Standing Rule.  The first 3 games, played during the first half of season have 12 chits per flight per game.  The same applies to the second half of the season.  The dollar worth of a chit during the first half of the season, and the dollar worth of a chit for the second half of play are added together to fund the final chit payout for Magnolia Cup.

The award for a HOLE-IN-ONE shot during league play is $100.  The hole-in-one is official even if the game is cancelled, as long as the player didn’t withdraw or get disqualified.

The EAGLE GOOD SHOT program awards a player $10.00 for an eagle (2 under par on one hole).  It still counts even if the game is cancelled, as long as the player didn’t withdraw or get disqualified.

The RINGER CHALLENGE is a season-long game where a player tries to get her best score on each hole.  Special score cards (yellow and blue) are used to keep track.  The yellow card is kept by the player as a point of reference, while the blue card is turned in at the pro shop each time a player improves. If a game is cancelled for official reasons, scores up to that point may be recorded unless a player quits or is disqualified.   Competition ends with the final Ace of Aces Tournament, at which time players are assigned to a flight based on their handicap index at that time.  Winners in each flight are awarded double chits.

MOST IMPROVED PLAYER award goes to the player whose handicap improves the most during the season.  You must be a member at the beginning of the season to qualify.

MONTHLY RAFFLE is held on the first Tuesday of each month.  Half of the money goes to support the big Member/Guest tournament.  The other half is split between two lucky winners.
