02/03 Magnolia Cup 1
I, P In this individual game each player accumulates points based on their net hole by hole score: Par 3, Birdie 5, Eagle 8, Gross Hole in One 12. At start of season or at joining, players are assigned into a flight and remain in that flight regardless of handicap fluctuation. Points are accumulated over six games with the objective of earning the most points in the flight. If you cannot score a point on a hole or have reached your WHS maximum score, there is no point in continuing. Write your WHS score with an X to indicate that you did not finish the hole. Since this game is the accumulation of points, payouts are held until the end of season. Following League standard, ¼ of each flight receives chits based on the individual’s finish in that flight. 2/10 Happy Valentine’s Day
I, P As a Valentine’s Day treat, your score on all holes with a handicap of 9 and below will be ignored by Golf Genius. Net score on the other nine holes will be your game score. T, P In this net team game, players aim for the flag to determine the number of balls to count on each hole. A blue flag requires 1 BB net on the hole: yellow flag 2 BB net and a red flag signals 3 BB net on the hole. 09/29 Mock Solheim Cup Alternate Shot/Scramble and BB
T, NP To prepare for our annual Solheim Cup competition, those who signed up to play in GG on 09/29 will be divided into two teams: red and blue. In this partnership game, the objective is to complete the game with the lowest score using a combination of alternate shot and best ball format. In the alternate shot competition on the front nine, both team members tee off, then swap balls for the second shot. After both players hit their second shots, the team chooses the best of the two balls and plays alternate shot from there until the ball is holed. The back nine is a better ball competition. Each partner plays their own ball into the hole with the team recording the lowest score for that hole. The game is scored in points; 1 point for a win, 0 points for a loss and ½ each for a tie. Competitors will be determined by handicaps. Foursomes and starting holes assigned by GG. Members of winning team earn 3 chits each.

10/06 Solheim Cup Day 1 CHLGA vs SLGA
T, NP This two-day annual competition between CHLGA and SLGA is a two-person team match play event with a team of 12 players representing each club.
Members who wish to participate in the event should commit to both days of play. Anyone signing up after a roster of 12 is reached will be on standby. If there is enough interest, the roster can be increased to 16 players.
Following true Solheim Cup format the game includes alternate shot, a scramble and better ball. The formats are alternated yearly between the Oaks and Skyview courses. The format for the first day of play in 2026 on the Oaks will be a better ball match play format.
Each confirmed player will pay an entry fee of $25 with no crossover charges. There will be no chits earned for this event. Participating players on the winning team receive pro shop credit and a plaque for display in their clubhouse.
All competition players will be flighted using the handicap index based on GHIN. During play individual handicaps will be determined by the lowest handicap in the foursome or twosome.
There are 18 points available in each event. Winning a hole earns 1 point, tied holes 1/2 point each, lost hole earns zero points. The points earned by each partnership are totaled to determine the winning team. Foursomes and starting holes assigned by GG.
Those CHLGA members not playing in the Solheim Cup may compete on their home course in an Individual Simply Play Golf event and are eligible for chits. If there are less than 12 players who play in this group, Standing Rule Game Day article III.6 will be used.

10/08 (Thursday) Solheim Cup Day 2
T, NP The second day of the Solheim cup competition hosted by SLGA on Skyview. is an 18-hole scramble and alternate shot format. Foursomes and starting holes are assigned by GG. Lunch will be available in the Skyview dining room after play.

10/13          Magnolia Cup 2025 Revisited
I, P             In this individual game each player earns points based on their gross score: Bogey 1, Par 3, Birdie 5, Eagle 8, HIO 12. I, P The objective of this individual net game is to score Par or Better than Par using strokes where they fall on the card. If a player scores, place a plus sign (+) next to the score. Count the plus signs to determine the final score. High score (most pluses) wins. The ball must enter the hole on all holes that are used in the final score. 10/27 Guys and Gals Invitational
